"Hoppy" (late) Easter!

Easter Edibles

A little late...

Because of my ridiculously crazy week leading up to Easter I wasn’t able to post one single blog! (If you want to know the whole story, feel free to check it out at

There were some pretty major last minute events that came up that I had to be at that required quite a bit of traveling and a lot of last minute planning and not to mention a VERY inconvenient sprained ankle that requires crutches, ice and elevation. Even though Easter is gone now, I am still going to post some mini versions of what the posts leading up to Easter would have looked like. Easter is one of my favorite times of year… mainly because of the plethora of candy and chocolate is various shapes, flavors and colors. I definitely got my mother’s sweet tooth. Even though on Easter Sunday it snowed off and on all day here, Easter is the defining event where my winter wardrobe can fade into my spring wardrobe, which means skirts, light colors, open and strappy shoes and tank tops become a part of my decision making process every morning. This great shift of the wardrobes excites me immensely. Then there is the ever present nostalgia of every holiday. For me it take me back to frilly dresses and hats, frilly socks and purses, egg hunts, egg decorating, all things candy, those awesome inflatable bunnies that seemed to be present at every Easter as a child. So even though it’s a little late, the next few blogs will all be pictures that caught my eye and inspired me this Easter season.

Dishes to Runaway With

The dishes that we registered for when we got married were given to us at one of our showers and they are stunning! They are being ever so wonderfully displayed in our antique china hutch in the dining room.

These dishes and china sets definitely rank right up there with ours... Each one caught my attention at a glance. I love them and wish I had a hutch big enough for them all!

Precious Stones

Some of these pieces might seem to be more geared towards the winter and holiday months, BUT I would gladly take on the challenge of pairing them with just the right pieces in order to make them function all year round.

Anyone that knows me well will not be surprised that this theme caught my eye. A lot of the “I saw something and thought of you” comments that I have received over the past few years were based on items such as these. Anything with sparkle, color, and classiness all rolled up into one will definitely catch my eye and more than likely bring a smile to my face.

Target is on a roll!

I read today that Target is partnering up with renowned accessories designer Joy Gryson for its next limited-edition accessories line. The Gryson for Target collection includes a variety of classy chic handbags that encompass the designer’s signature mix of luxury and functionality.
The line will be available at select Target stores nationwide and at April 6, 2008 through June 21, 2008 with prices ranging from $19.99 to $49.99.

Yo can see the collection here

Excited to find...

I have admired this jewelry line by Dominique Cohen for Target now for a few months, and it is now on sale for a fabulous 75% off! Check it out online and in stores. I just ordered both of these bangles today... just in time to add them to my spring wardrobe that I'm currently working on.

New Day in Need of New Energy

With the gloom and laziness of yesterday looming over me today, I thought I would post just some random bright and energetic things that caught my eye...
